Madeline holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Michigan State University and a Master of Music in Violin Performance from DePaul University, where she studied with Ilya Kaler.

She has played in Fargo-Moorhead Symphony for 4 years and currently plays in Civic Orchestra of Chicago.

As a soloist, Madeline has performed with the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony, the Fargo-Moorhead Area Youth Symphony, on National Public Radio’s show "From the Top" with pianist Christopher O’Riley, and most recently with Chicago’s Logan Chamber Players.

 

After graduating from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Brian completed a Master’s degree in Cello Performance at Northwestern University, during which time he served as Teaching Assistant to Professor Hans Jensen.

Brian is a two-time 1st prize winner of the North Carolina Music Academy Cello Competition, as well as top prizewinner of the Grimsley Concerto Competition.

He has played in the Philharmonia of Greensboro, the Oberlin Orchestra, the Oberlin Chamber Orchestra, the Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra, the Cervantes Orchestra of Chicago, National Festival Orchestra, and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.

 

Taka studied the violin with David Taylor, Joseph Golan and Robert Chen, while attending Roosevelt University and Northeastern Illinois University, where he served as Graduate Assistant and received a Master of Arts in Music.

He has played violin in the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, National Orchestral Institute Orchestra, Illinois Symphony Orchestra, South Bend Symphony Orchestra, Whiting Park Festival Orchestra, and Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra.

Taka is a founder and director of the Midwest Conservatory of Music in Hoffman Estates and is also a conductor of the Midwest Philharmonic Orchestra.
